With the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990, and later in the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008, the United States Congress acknowledged that historically, society has tended to isolate and segregate individuals with disabilities. Sadly, despite some improvements, discrimination against individuals with disabilities continue to be a serious and pervasive social problem.
ADR’s End Disability Discrimination education program is designed to help the general public appreciate the difficulties disabled Americans face on a daily basis, targeting the protections given to those relying upon medical assistance animals (service dogs, emotional support animals) to mitigate the limitations of their individual disability.
Information provided includes the civil rights of disabled Americans in areas of employment, access to government services, public accommodations, residential housing and travel.

What’s the difference between a family pet and a medical assistance animal (service dog, emotional support animal) with protected civil rights? Only your credit card… IF you believe an expanding number of fraudulent online companies and unethical medical professionals pitching bogus registrations, certifications, paperwork and animal gear.
Fraud through deception, self-diagnosis and self-prescription have never been an acceptable defense in any administrative, criminal or civil court.
ADR’s Stop Disability Fraud education program is designed to disclose the legal pitfalls of dealing with these unscrupulous businesses, how service animal fraud is not a victim-less crime and what kinds of criminal and civil liabilities await those selfish people rolling the dice to bring their family pet into service animal only areas.
